钻孔灌注桩在地下水位附近的松软土层中，经常发生扩颈现象。扩颈后桩身截面积增加，波形曲线上会出现与入射波相位相反的反射波。需要注意的是，如果桩周土较硬，波形曲线也会出现类似于扩颈的反射波。如图：
